We are proud to serve and help the following organizations in our community through volunteer efforts and by also serving on their boards:

Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

Volunteered at art festivals, music events art exhibitions such as Own Your Own and in the Buell Children’s Museum. We have also assisted with membership drives, partnered with recycling events and provided hair and makeup services for the Sangre de Cristo Ballet’s performances.

Board Involvement: Served 6 years on the Board of Trustees as well as 1 year as the Board Chair.

Latino Chamber of Commerce

Volunteered at membership events and assisted with event planning. Also started the Junior Chamber, a successful group that connects with middle school students who may be interested in their own business.

Currently working with various organizations to raise awareness of the risk factors.

Pueblo Community College–Advisory Cosmetology Dept.

Assisted with the curriculum development and hiring process for the current director.

PCC mentor

This pilot program is designed to improve program completion. 20 business leaders from the community chosen by the campus President act as mentors.

YWCA: Provided manicures for the homeless women and children at Christmas 2013

Annual “Kids Cuts Day”
We launched this annual event as a direct response from the economic downturn in 2009. Students receive free hair cuts prior to the start of their school year.
